👣 We Encountered This on an Evening Stroll
During a recent evening walk in Goa, we encountered this:
Nature taking over human establishments.
And that made me go into a rabbit hole:
I realized that the planet would always be there. It’s not going anywhere.
It’s humanity that is under threat.
And it’s important to understand this difference-
We have unique environmental conditions that support human life.
If they go for a toss, then humanity would vanish.
The planet would still be there.
The planet is 4,500,000,000 years old.
Humans came around 200,000 years ago
Civilization started 6000 years ago
The industrialized world started only 200 years ago!
So even if we vanish, the planet will revive itself.
There are 15 million other species.
Climate change is not a planetary issue.
It’s humanity’s problem.
Like slavery, fascism, oppression of women.
I feel climate change has a marketing problem.
If we market it as humanity’s problem, we might be more encouraged to solve it.
What do you think?

✨ Startup of the week: Livbio
This Indian brand makes dyes out of fruits, flowers, spices, and bark.
Harmful Dyes…The conventional dyeing process uses chemical substances that are harmful to the planet. Most of our garments are chemically dyed with petroleum-based dyes, which pose risks to both the environment and human health. When these chemicals are washed away, they enter waterways, impacting marine life. Despite these drawbacks, most companies continue to use these dyes because they're cheaper and readily available.
Dye-versity…Livbio is changing that. It makes clothes using natural dyes. These are made from fruits, flowers, spices, and bark. Examples include:
🟡 Onion Peels
🟠 Turmeric
🟢 Pomegranate Peels
They don't use any synthetic chemicals, even for processing. This makes their products safer for both you and the planet.

😹 News That Lifted My Spirits This Week
🐊 Croc-a-doodle-doo!…In a remarkable turn of events, sixty Siamese crocodiles have successfully hatched in Cambodia's Cardamom National Park, marking the largest recorded breeding event for this critically endangered species in the wild this century. Once widespread across Southeast Asia, these non-aggressive reptiles had vanished from 99% of their former range. They were feared extinct until rediscovered by a Fauna & Flora-led survey team in Cambodia's Cardamom Mountains.
🧑🏼✈️ Sky-High Scrutiny…The UK's Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has grounded Virgin Atlantic's ad promoting its use of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF). The regulatory body banned the advertisement, citing concerns that it could mislead consumers into believing SAF has no negative environmental impact. This decision highlights the challenges airlines face in balancing environmental claims with transparency about the limitations of sustainable fuel technologies.
⚡ Green Light for Green Power…Italy has enacted new legislation to streamline the approval process for renewable energy projects, cutting red tape and boosting green power production. The reform reduces procedural requirements and exempts small plants under 10 MW from needing permits, all part of Italy's broader initiative to meet its decarbonization goals.
